About Jenna Simsen

With over 15 years of experience in marketing, digital media, and communications, Jenna Simsen is a skilled professional dedicated to impactful storytelling and community engagement. As the Director of Marketing & Digital Media for Dickinson Independent School District, Jenna leads district-wide marketing initiatives, manages communications strategies, and oversees digital and social media efforts that connect with over 12,000 students, staff, and families. Her work includes brand development, content creation, event promotion, and community outreach.

In 2022, Jenna was elected to the Dickinson City Council, where she focuses on developing youth programming and fostering connections between community entities to support collaborative growth. She also leads the Dickinson Youth Action Council (DYAC), empowering young leaders and helping them engage in civic activities. Her background includes significant roles in municipal communications with the City of League City, where she handled media relations, content production, graphic design, videography, and more. She’s well-versed in coordinating large-scale events and engaging stakeholders through strategic communication.

With millions of photos taken over her career (and in her personal life!), Jenna has a knack for bringing creative projects to life. Beyond her professional work, she has served on several community boards, nonprofit boards, and advisory committees in the Dickinson and Galveston County areas, contributing her skills to local initiatives and volunteer programs. Recognized for her commitment to service, Jenna was named to the Galveston County Daily News 40 Under 40 and has received the Dickinson ISD Big Impact Award.

When she's not working or volunteering, Jenna enjoys traveling, live music, cooking, and, of course, planning her next creative endeavor.
